Greenbriar State Park, Boonsboro, MD

Dear Montessori Families,

I hope you and your family enjoyed the camping experience this weekend at Greenbrier State Park. I enjoyed the lake, fishing, and eating outside with friends and family. I enjoyed getting to meet many new Montessori families too.

As I think of plans for the camping trip for next summer, I hope to get your feedback while the experience is still fresh in your minds. Click here to take a short survey

As this program has grown, now up to 227 at last count, I want to thank the many people who volunteered to help make this such a success.

I want to give a two thumbs up for the Greenbrier staff. Courtney Bryant and Melissa, the camp naturalists, were wonderful to work with and very accommodating. They planned a special movie screening, “The Sorcerer and the Stone,” a nature walk and fishing instruction and orienteering just for AMAC. Greenbrier also provided Cliff bars as a courtesy that we included in the goodie bags.

A special thanks to Casual Adventures (on Washington Boulevard across from the Giant). They have been a supporter of AMAC’s camping trip with lots of donations the last two years. When you stop by please tell them thank you for all they have done for us.

Also, thank you to everyone that participated and for bringing delicious food to the potluck. I hope you enjoyed this years event and hope you will come camping again next year. I hope to see you again at some of AMAC’s others great events.
